Top 3 things to think about in Ephesians


1. 1 Thessalonians 1:3

3 Remembering without ceasing your work of afaith, and blabour of love, and cpatience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

There is something here very well put. you can ponder the difference bewteen the 'work' and the 'labor', and what 'patience' means in its relation to hope.

2. 1 Thessalonians 1: 4-5

4 Knowing, brethren abeloved, your belection of God.

5 For our agospel bcame not unto you in cword only, but also in dpower, and in the eHoly Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what fmanner of men we were among you for your sake.

How do you get the election of God? You get the gospel by the power and assurance of the Holy Spirit. 

3. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

16 aRejoice evermore.

17 aPray without ceasing.

18 In every thing give athanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

How do you pray without ceasing. I would tentate (just coined that word) that the keys are in rejoicing and giving thanks. If you can rejoice and give thanks to God in everything, your life becomes a prayer.

Bonus! the Simple Gospel of the Way

 Am I writing a Gnostic text? I definitely titled this blog post like one. Maybe we should turn it over to the scholars and ask how close I got. Or maybe I'll be able to ask the gnostics one day. I'd like to share something I am calling the Simple Gospel of the Way. I'm sure many of you have been taught the gospels, the plan of salvation, or something similar to map your vector relation with God. Here is an approach that I hope helps. 1. We are separated from God. (Hopefully no surprises here.) Everything we do is to get back to Him. We are trying to close the separation. We are trying to become One with Him. 1 Nephi 11-15 - Come Follow Me with Sam

Welcome! Things happen to Nephi really quickly this week. What is interesting is that he sees a piece of the vision, then he sees a piece of the history of the world, then he goes back to the vision, then back to the world over and over again. It is like a hyper-converged vision with the symbols and the realities manifesting themselves almost synchronously with each other. And he leaves a lot out. Here are some of the highlights from my studies. The Condescension of God The angel focuses on something called the condescension of God. We'll talk about this more when we get to Abinadai.
